This course is designed to inform you about the world’s coral reefs. As a scuba diver, you must be aware of the fragileness of coral reefs and you should know how you can help preserve them, as the joy of diving depends on the health of the aquatic ecosystem, and also your descendants should one day still have the chance to see the underwater wonders that you can see today.

Coral reef ecosystems are equivalent to ‘aqualungs’. They are extremely important to maintain a balanced sealife. In order to spread more knowledge and awareness PADI introduced the AWARE – Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course. Following this course will assist you in learning to appreciate the complexity of aquatic habitats and it will teach you how you can assist in conserving these extremely vital systems.
