The SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility course introduces you to the world of nocturnal excitement under water. The goal of this course is to acquaint you with procedures, techniques and potential hazards associated with night diving or low visibility diving.

Night diving is a whole new way to experience the underwater world.”We familiarize you with night versus limited visibility diving., special night equipment, night buddy system and overcoming disorientation. We teach you buoyancy control in the dark and interacting with nocturnal aquatic life.

The primary goal of any SSI Specialty course is to teach you important skills in a fun environment. All courses are taught using home study, short academic sessions, and in-water training.
Our method is focused on learning you the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive at night or in limited visibility conditions. And remember. Some of the ocean’s most amazing creatures only come out at night, so your dive doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down. By our method you will learn how to enter and exit the water, use specialized equipment, and how to communicate and dive with a buddy at night or in limited visibility.
Upon completion of all academic and in-water requirements, the SSI Professional may issue the program’s digital certification card.
Certified SSI divers can dive with an equally- or more-qualified buddy in environments equivalent to their training and within the recommended depth limits of their certifications.
Students younger than 15 years old will be certified as an SSI Junior Diver in the applicable program, and can dive under the direct supervision of a dive professional, or with a certified adult, in environments equivalent to their training and within the recommended depth limits.
