How to Qualify to PADI Underwater Navigator Course

Any PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 10 years old may enroll in the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course.

Course Program

We teach you how to practice and master navigation patterns, natural navigation, and compass navigation. In essence, you will be taught underwater navigation using natural clues and by following compass headings. You will practice methods to estimate distance underwater and mark or relocate a submerged object or position from the surface.

After finishing the course you will feel more comfortable underwater and have acquired the tools, skills, and knowledge to act as an underwater navigator.

Apart from your basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a compass and underwater slate. Our PADI instructor may suggest other gear to help you stay oriented. Here you must think of Lines and reels and marker buoys.
