PADI Drift Diver is a scuba diving specialty course that trains divers to safely and comfortably dive in drift currents.
A drift dive is where the diver uses the natural water movement to move along the dive site, rather than swimming against the current.
This type of diving requires specific skills and techniques to control buoyancy, maintain proper positioning, and communicate effectively with your dive buddy.
You may enroll in your course when you have mastered (junior) open water and when you are at least 12 years old.
During class and practicing sessions you will gain knowledge of drift diving techniques and procedures. During the class you receive an introduction to drift diving equipment like floats, lines and reels.
You will enjoy an overview of aquatic currents and its effects and causes. By practice you will obtain buoyancy contro and navigation and communication during two drift dives.
Wile surfing on the current you will be taught jow to stay close to a buddy or together as a group.
